Opportunity details | We are aiming to provide a unique glamping unit on a wheeled chassis, made from wood, corrugated metal, reused UPVC windows and other reclaimed materials. The main unit will include two bedrooms, a wc. Shower and open plan, but covered, living/dinning space measuring approximately 11x13m. Height up to 3.5m including chassis. Outdoors there will be an area for bbqing, dining and there will be a bath with hot and cold water. The project completion deadline is the end of January 2025.
Elements of the Building Process for tender (including materials and labour) include: LOT 1: Groundworks to include foundations, concrete pads to which to build the unit upon, drainage and ducting, general landscaping, car parking area, fencing. LOT 2: Construction of the two bedroom, glamping unit with shower, wc, living and dining area using wood, corrugated metal sheets and reclaimed materials. LOT 3: Plumb in the boiler, shower, wc, bath and toilet and kitchen sinks. (we have a cast iron bath to be used on the project, so will not need to be included in the quote). LOT 4: Connect the electrical supply to the glamping unit. Install lighting, electric sockets, radiators. |
Evaluation / selection criteria | Quotes will be evaluated based on price, experience, and ability to deliver on time.
Only 40% based on price quotation 30% on Track record, experience and quality of workmanship, financial standing.30% Availability and timescaleAlso taken into consideration and mandatory will be Public Liability/Insurance, Health and Safety. Quotes for the various elements will be considered but quotes are also welcome for the whole project. Labour and materials to be quoted separately. |
